Three hotspots that you must visit in Lille

Fell in love with Lille after seeing our photos? Well, I can’t blame you! For our Carelessly Confident Collection, Founder Delphine and her beautiful sister Julie, went to give the old town of Lille in France a visit. “Le Vieux Lille” as they call it, enchants the eye with its flamboyant architecture. When looking up, you can see a perfect harmony of brick and stone and it sometimes even resembles the old parts of Paris. Are you in an Emily kind of mood but don’t want to drive three hours? Then Lille is the place to be.

A few of our recommendations:

  1. La Bellezza, a restaurant near the old city. A must try for those who love the Italian kitchen and don’t want to spend big bills for a pasta or pizza. Invite your family with you to eat tasty tiramisu or come with your friends to try their Chianti. You’ll absolutely love the cute & cosy decor as well.
  2. La Vieille Bourse. Probably the finest building in the city. It dates to the mid-17th century and consists of 24 Flemish renaissance houses, all around a central arcaded courtyard. People come to play chess there and you can enjoy a beautiful flower and book market.
  3. The Old Town. Start your stroll at Place Louise de Bettignies and you’ll spend the rest of your walk admiring the decorative facades and gables. There are a lot of fun bars and cafés and you’ll be able to enjoy a baroque architecture when looking around.

You’ll definitely enjoy the dynamic of the city while visiting! The only thing left to do, is find the right outfit for the city stroll. Our favorite outfit for a visit in Lille: Our embroidered Stunning Co-Ord in Black.
